Bravettes bounce Big Sky from state

Hashley tallies 27 points in 63-59 victory

BILLINGS - Holli Hashley tallied 27 points and pulled down 15 rebounds to help Flathead hold off a furious second-half rally by Missoula Big Sky for a 63-59 loser-out victory Friday at the Class AA state girls basketball tournament.

Flathead (13-8) led 24-9 at the half, but was outscored 50-39 in the final half.

The Bravettes finished the contest hitting 25 of 43 foul shots. Big Sky was 21 of 26.

Lindsay Bennett added 11 points for Flathead. Rebecca Weber led Big Sky with 19.

The Bravettes are back in action today at 10:30 a.m. for the third straight day with another loser-out contest vesus Billings Senior. The consolation final is set for 5 p.m.
