Kalispell police

Kalispell police officers were alerted that two people were passing a pipe back and forth in a vehicle parked in Lawrence Park Monday. The occupants refused to let officers search the vehicle.

The couple had to leave on foot when officers discovered neither had a valid driver's license.

A wild party reported on Fourth Avenue West turned out to be a couple cleaning house with the music cranked up.

A suspicious silver/blue Jaguar was spotted as a suspected stolen vehicle with no registration and cardboard plates from Las Vegas. The vehicle was gone when officers arrived.

Vandals painted the head of a Depot Park fish sculpture fluorescent orange sometime over the weekend.

City building department employees arrived at their offices Monday to find someone had given their building a paintball paint job.

A concerned motorist reported that a scruffy, unshaven man in a white Subaru at Fourth Street East and Fifth Avenue was trying to talk with a small child riding a bike to school. She said the man left when he noticed her watching him.

A disturbance around 2 a.m. resulted in the arrest of a man and woman who were house guests at a residence on Fourth Street West. The woman, Julianna Marie Rainwater, was charged with possession of prescription drugs without a prescription. Paul Rainwater was charged with theft.
