A Flathead Valley man has been accused of raping a disabled woman who rented a room to him.

Bond is set at $200,000 for William Gutierrez, 50.

He was renting from a woman who is physically disabled and largely paralyzed. On Thursday morning, she reportedly awoke to find him on top of her in her bed.

According to documents filed in court, "Because of [her] disabilities, she was helpless to defend herself or resist," although she yelled at him to leave her bedroom and pack his belongings and leave her home.
