Whitefish police

| March 17, 2005 1:00 AM

Whitefish police went to a complaint of a barking dog at 5 a.m. on Iowa Avenue. A pit bull had apparently fallen through some subflooring at a construction site. No one wanted to deal with the upset pit bull and it didn't seem to like the uniformed officers, possibly after prior contact with the uniformed animal warden. The dog was finally rescued by construction workers who laid a board into the 4- or 5-foot hole as a ramp.

Flower pots were stolen from a retaining wall on Central Avenue.

A mysterious animal that attacked a dog on Barkley Lane was taken to a game warden for identification.

A man was arrested for disorderly conduct and trespass after the door to a home was kicked open at 1:30 a.m. on Central Avenue Wednesday.
