Jon Gunnar Larson

Jon Gunnar Larson, died on March 10, 2005, at his home in Whitefish. He was born June 24, 1966, in Keflavik, Iceland, to Paul H. Larson and Hulda G. Larson.

He and Jody D. Fernandes were married on Oct. 22, 1988, in Bothell, Wash. They had three children, Jordan, 15; Jesse, 10; and Anna, 2. Before moving to the Flathead in 2001, Jon and his family lived in Snohomish County, Wash.

Prior to a disabling brain injury, Jon was employed as a store detective for a large retail security firm.

He dearly loved his children. A perfect day for Jon would be taking his boys fishing.

He was very interested in the motion picture industry, especially action/adventure and science fiction films such as the "Star Wars" trilogy. Jon had a fun-loving sense of humor and an ability to keep you laughing. Statements such as, "Give me a dollar and I'll leave you alone," were his trademark.

Jon was preceded in death by his mother, Hulda G. Larson, in 2001.

He is survived by his wife and children. Other survivors include his father and stepmother, Paul and Mary Larson, of Kalispell; his brother, Erik Larson, of Huntsville, Ala.; and his sister, Loeuy Charette, of Renton, Wash.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Bigfork Chapel Assembly of God with the Rev. Martin Davis officiating.
