Still missing is a Mercedes, but Kalispell police have recovered four other vehicles stolen in the past few days. Detective Sgt. Jim Brenden said a vehicle belonging to the city parks and recreation department was reported stolen Wednesday morning. It was quickly found a short distance away. "The one thing that's been consistent is the vehicles have been unsecured and keys were left in the vehicles … most are just taken and returned or dumped not too far away," he said. Owners are reminded to lock their vehicles.

Someone reported on Tuesday a sexual assault that happened weeks ago.

A shed was broken into and damaged on North Meridian Road.

A man on East California Street was arrested for assault and having a concealed weapon.

A fence was cut at Cenex, but nothing appeared to be taken.

Briefly missing was a man who went looking for elk antlers. He returned home safely after his wife reported him missing.

A transient was reportedly urinating, littering and annoying a dog near the Blue & White motel. Two unwanted men were reported at the Aero Inn.

Tools were stolen on Eighth Avenue West North.

A domestic dispute on Fifth Avenue West reportedly involved a baby, who was being carried by a man who fell when a woman threw a snowball at him.

A vehicle hit a fence on Sixth Avenue East.

A 15-year-old boy reportedly broke a window and called his mother names.
