Documentary details one man's dangerous obsession

| March 25, 2005 1:00 AM

The Whitefish Theatre Co. present the world theatrical premiere

of "Grizzly Man" Friday through Sunday, April 1-3 at the O'Shaughnessy Center in Whitefish.

Th compelling new documentary of Timothy Treadwell's life dives deeply into the intriguing and infuriating mind of a man whose death was as sensational as his life. Treadwell immersed himself into the grizzly habitat creating what he felt was a bond with these majestic wild animals. Using Treadwell's own film footage from his 13 summers in the vast Alaskan wilderness, Werner Herzog narrates and directs a

brilliant portrait of a man who presumed he could live safely among grizzly

bears.

Grizzly Man won the Alfred P. Sloan award at the Sundance Film Festival in

January with Lions Gate Films set to release it to theaters in August 2005
