Kalispell Police

A church stepped in to help a man who said he was here from Georgia on training for the National Guard and had lost his wallet. After providing a motel and food for a few nights, though, a church representative became suspicious and contacted Kalispell Police, who determined it was all a scam. Officers are considering whether to charge the man.

A resident on Fifth Avenue East read in the newspaper about stolen cars in town and reported a blue Ford Taurus that showed up behind his house. It turned out to be stolen and was returned to its owner.

A man was given a ride home after acting out an impromptu episode of Fear Factor in traffic on North Meridian Road. Other contenders for the show were two boys on the roof of Immanuel Lutheran Home who were gone when officers arrived.

A couple separated for the night after a woman on Liberty Street complained that her boyfriend wouldn't leave. Another man was escorted out of a residence on Fourth Avenue West.

A vehicle window was broken near the Finish Line bar. Vehicle damage was also reported at Complete Automotive.

A man silhouetted outside a home on 10th Avenue West at 5 a.m. turned out to be a newspaper carrier.

Medicine was stolen from a purse at Tidyman's.

A woman reportedly harassed and threatened another woman in a case of mistaken identity. There was no indication whom the woman intended to harass.
