It isn't just that the rooster on Prairie View Road crows at 4 a.m. every day; it's also that it keeps up the racket all day. A neighbor called Flathead County Sheriff's Office Wednesday morning, wanting the rooster "shut up once and for all."

On Fifth Street East in Hungry Horse, a man rang the doorbell of a home and when a woman opened the door, he threw lighted matches inside.

Also in Hungry Horse, a vehicle that was stolen in Vancouver, Wash., was discovered.

Custodial interference was reported at Edgerton School.

An out-of-control 13-year-old girl on Meadowlark Drive wanted her diary back from her mother. An 18-year-old woman on Spring Creek Drive wouldn't leave, even though she was unwelcome.

This isn't the first time someone threw firecrackers at horses on North Ferndale Drive.

A drunken pedestrian caused concern near the Rainbow Bar. An unruly customer who spat at a bartender at Los Caporales went home in a taxi.

A woman was arrested for partner assault on Caroline Road.

There were two reports of women hitting other women in the face.
