Flathead boys, Whitefish girls post 6-1 tennis victories

WHITEFISH - The Flathead boys and Whitefish girls each won rain makeup tennis matches Thursday.
The Bulldog girls picked up a 6-1 dual win, as did the Braves.
"I didn't see it, but my assistant coach told me Jesse Kuenen had the best match she's ever played," Whitefish boys coach Patrick Dryden said.
Kuenen defeated Hanna Hanes 10-3 at No. 3 singles. The Bravettes and Bulldogs also played four exhibition matches.
"The exhibitions were very, very valuable," Dryden said. "We matched up a lot of 1s versus 2s, and it was good competition for the 2s to have to step up."
In boys play, the Braves won everything except No. 4 singles.
"It was great, everybody got to play, they were close matches," FHS coach Buck Measure said. "Whitefish gave us good, competitive play. It was nice to have a match prior to our Flathead Invite."
The Braves and Bravettes hosts the Flathead Invitational on Saturday, featuring the three Missoula schools and both Great Falls schools. Whitefish hosts Libby on Saturday.
