This summer downtown Kalispell will see the return of an old gas station and mini-market and the addition of a new restaurant.
Margaret and Darryl Rowe are reopening the old Classical Gas station and mini-market on the corner of Main and Fourth streets.
The market will sell beer and wine for off-site consumption and cigarettes.
It and the gas station should open in early June.
The Rowes also are adding a Chicken Noodle Cafe, which will serve soups, sandwiches and burgers, Margaret Rowe said.
The restaurant will have indoor and patio seating as well as a rooftop-style area on the second floor that will be walled with clear acrylic plastic sheeting to give the effect of al fresco dining.
The Rowes estimate the building will have space to seat about 90 people.
The restaurant is scheduled to open mid-June.
The Rowes live in Whitefish, where they moved several months ago from California.
Margaret Rowe had a legal practice in California.
Darryl Rowe worked as a contractor there and is doing the contracting for their project.
