Flathead County Sheriff's Office sent divers, deputies, and others to Lower Dam Road Friday afternoon when a vehicle was found submerged in the South Fork of the Flathead River. No one was found inside the vehicle.

Officers were called to a home on Whitefish Stage Thursday night when there was a report of a man with a 10-gauge shotgun taped to his hand, threatening to shoot anyone who came through the door. He was gone when deputies arrived, but returned Friday and was arrested for family member assault.

A girl who didn't go home after school on Montana 206 was found, safe.

There were a couple of reports of child abuse that officers investigated and deemed unfounded.

On West Reserve Drive, a reckless driver compounded his misdeeds by making an obscene gesture.

On One Way Road, a St. Bernard and a pit bull chased horses.

An obscene and threatening call was reported near Columbia Falls. Two men whose presence was no longer welcome at Woody's eventually got a ride home, but caused discontent by lurking around the parking lot.

Officers checked on a man on Montana 35 who prompted concern that he'd be hit by a car. Turns out he's wanted on a theft warrant from California. He was moved out of traffic and into a jail cell.

A resident would like the man who lives across the street to stop going outside to urinate in the yard.

A deputy encountered someone with an injured hand from a lawn mower mishap on Fourth Avenue West and offered a ride to the hospital.
