Three retail stores and a bank will be the newest tenants at Mountain View Plaza shopping center in Kalispell.

Three retail stores and a bank will be the newest tenants at Mountain View Plaza shopping center in Kalispell.

According to Scott Strellnauer, the real-estate broker representing the plaza's developers - SSC Development - construction on the Dollar Tree will be completed first, followed by Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy, and Rocky Mountain Bank.

"Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy will go up between Home Depot and Borders," Strellnauer said. "The Dollar Tree will be next to Pier One and the bank will be alongside IHOP [the International House of Pancakes], right near the main entrance."

The plaza is currently anchored by Target and Home Depot stores, both of which are situated on property they purchased from the developer. The other tenants all lease.

The Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy stores will each be approximately 25,000 square feet. These are considered smaller-size outlets for their respective chains. The Dollar Tree will be 12,000 square feet, which is a typical size for that retailer, Strellnauer said.

Rocky Mountain Bank, based in Billings, will soon begin construction on its first Kalispell office and is planning a 4,000-square-foot building.

"We'd like it to have a lodge-type feel," said Tom Lund, president of the Kalispell branch. "So we'll be using heavy timbers and native stone in the construction of the bank. We're planning an October grand opening."
