Janice 'Candi' Miller, 56

| May 25, 2005 1:00 AM

Janice "Candi" Miller, 56, passed "into the loving arms of her Savior the Lord Jesus Christ" early Monday morning the 23rd of May 2005. Candi was laying next to her "Bestest Friend in the whole wide world" her husband, E. Wayne Miller.

Candi was born Oct. 1, 1948, in Ukiah, Calif., to Peter and Patricia Welch.

Though the last few years having been more challenging than most could withstand, Candi kept her sense of humor and let her love of life shine deep from her soul.

In 2002, Candi lost her beloved son Matthew in a tragic motorcycle accident. Candi mourned in the way only a truly strong person could - she reached out to other parents who had lost children and became an active participant in the Compassionate Friends group.

Through times of illness and heartache, Candi kept her flair and style honed to perfection. Having been a sales person for Gentlemen's Fine clothing and fine furniture, Candi learned early on how to treat cherished items. This was clearly evident in her home and heart. Two of her most cherished items were her children, Abi and Matthew.

Candi loved to care for Wayne, Abi, Matthew and anyone who came within reach, and Candi had awfully long arms and a very loving heart.

Candi was preceded in death by her father, Pete Welch, and her son, Matthew James Asbra.

Candi is survived by her husband, E. Wayne Miller, of Kalispell; her mother, Pat Welch, of Ukiah, Calif.; her daughter, Abi, and husband, Donald Brown, of Windsor, Calif.; two sisters, Shannon and husband, George Johnson, of Ukiah, and Molly and husband, Bob Shulte of Ukiah; one brother, Steve and wife, Dawn Welch, of Grants Pass, Ore.; and one grandson, "Her Pride and Joy" Colton Matthew Brown of Windsor.

A memorial service will be held 4 p.m. at Buffalo Hills Funeral Home Thursday, May 26, with Rev. Riner officiating. A reception will follow at the home of Shawn and Michelle Baker. Funeral services will he held 1 p.m. at Daniel Chapel of the Roses Funeral Home in Santa Rosa, on Saturday, May 28.
