Kalispell fire department had a dozen calls. Creston fire department canceled Kalispell's ambulance on the way to a fight at Woody's, where no one was seriously hurt. Vehicle accidents included one on Sunset Boulevard Thursday morning. There were no injuries.

Whitefish ambulance and fire department went to a vehicle accident near Town Pump Wednesday, but no one wanted a ride with flashing lights to the hospital.

Whitefish fire department was summoned to Eighth Street, where someone dropped a lighter in a wood stove, causing fear that it would explode.

Coram fire department and Glacier National Park workers were roused at 1:30 a.m. Thursday for a report of smoke in an employee apartment on the west side. There was no fire.
