Flathead County Sheriff's Office received numerous calls from a widow who, among other things, cried hysterically because she thought her children stole her coat and also thought someone was trying to break into her house. Officers agreed to make extra patrols around her house.

A grizzly cub tried to climb a tree on Frontage Road near Columbia Falls police.

A couple of reports of unsafe shooting were deemed to be unfounded.

It seemed like someone poured something on the front door of a home on West View Circle and tried to ignite it.

Two men's dispute on Airport Road came to a draw when a deputy learned that one had had six beers to drink and the other "has had much more."

A teenager called to say her mother's boyfriend told her he didn't know where her mother was and that she might freeze in the woods. The girl and her sister went to a friend's house; their mother was found to be safe.

Two vehicles were stolen from Redding Equipment on U.S. 2 East.

Motion detectors activated lights at two homes during the night, arousing suspicions. In one case, the culprit that set off the detector was a wind sock.

It was at about 5 a.m. that a man reported his wife and neighbors arguing. A deputy reportedly helped the participants with a mature perspective on their issues. A few hours later, though, the man called back and said he was tired of all the yelling and Cain-raising at his house. When a deputy returned, the woman was just sleeping.

A man who was recently released from prison was told to stay away from a business, where some women don't appreciate his off-color comments.

On Eagle Mountain Way, a woman hit a man in the back with her fists. This was over washing dishes.

A till and petty cash were stolen in a burglary at Swan River Gardens.

Windows were broken on a dump truck and an oil shed was broken into on U.S. 2 near Columbia Falls.

A man reported that on Saturday, he was threatened and mooned. A burgundy Ford truck was involved.
