Wildkats trim Ronan; Libby upends Polson

COLUMBIA FALLS Columbia Falls and Libby both opened Northwestern A divisional volleyball play on Thursday with convincing victories.

The hosting Wildkats downed Ronan in three games 25-8, 25-12, 25-14 while Libby needed four to knock off Polson 25-23, 25-14, 22-25, 25-20.

Columbia Falls and Libby both move on in winners bracket play.

The Wildkats will face top seed Whitefish today at 11 a.m. with Bigfork, the second seed, meeting Libby at 1 p.m.

Divisional action runs through Saturday with the top two finishers advancing to the state tournament Nov. 10-12 in Bozeman.
