Columbia Falls police

recovered a stolen Cadillac in their own parking lot Saturday night. It was left there by a man who showed up for a court appearance four days earlier, then immediately was put in jail on a city warrant. As police checked with other departments, more warrants turned up, so he was held longer. When an officer checked the cars license plate and VIN, it turned up on the Flathead County sheriffs list as stolen. The culprit apparently had been driving it since July. It went back to its rightful owner.
