A woman was taken into custody Monday afternoon after her husband was found shot to death in North Fork.

Rebecca Haag, 51, was arrested and will be charged with deliberate homicide in connection with the death of her husband, Von Stanley Haag, 60, said Undersheriff Mike Meehan of the Flathead County Sheriff°s Office.

The Sheriff°s Office said the shooting appeared to stem from a domestic problem at the couple°s home, 815 Trail Creek, near Polebridge.

Von Haag was shot once in the chest with what officials believe was a .44-caliber Magnum weapon. His body will be sent to the state crime today for analysis.

The Sheriff°s Office learned about the shooting at about 1 p.m. Monday. Meehan said Rebecca Haag went to the home of a neighbor and said that her husband was fatally shot. The neighbor called another North Fork resident, Larry Wilson, the sole honorary deputy remaining in Flathead County. Wilson reportedly took Rebecca Haag into custody until officers with the Sheriff°s Office arrived.

She was interviewed by detectives Monday evening.
