Fishermen found a safe

in the Flathead River that was stolen from Fatt Boys bar. The bar was burglarized this week and the safe, containing a large amount of money, was stolen. Kalispell police Detective Jim Wardensky said two men fishing on Flathead River between Hungry Horse and Columbia Falls had launched their boat when they saw the safe sitting on the river bank. They turned it in to officials, who recovered checks from inside it, Wardensky said. The safe will be sent to the state crime lab to be checked for evidence. There are suspects in the burglary.

Another burglary was reported at a Main Street office, where intruders entered through a window and took some items.

At the other end of the virtue spectrum, someone who discovered a businesss full deposit bag in a bank parking lot turned it in.

A couple on Rosewood Drive had a dispute.

A man on First Avenue West said someone cut the brake lines on his car.

Four tires and wheels were stolen on Eighth Avenue West North.
