Frances Fanny Lester, 87

Frances Lester, 87, formerly of Somers and Joliet, passed away Nov. 9, 2005, at Evergreen Nursing home in Laurel.

Fanny was born in 1918 on a little homestead outside of Roundup, the only child of Johnny and Lettie Johnson. They later moved to Somers, where she loved swimming in the lakes, fishing and camping. She adored her animals and liked reading, drawing and painting pictures.

She married Kenneth Lester on Aug. 17, 1948, and together they had five children, Susan and husband, Gary Enright, Mary and husband, Sie Counts, Jeannie Flack, Harry and wife, Kathy Lester, and Bob and wife, Charlene Lester. From a previous marriage to Melvin B. Senne, she had three children, Alray and wife, Diane Senne, Christina Senne, and Gladys Counts. Frances has 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Until we meet again dear one. We all will miss you.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Smith Funeral Chapel in Laurel.

Thanks to Evergreen Health Care, staff that made our mother comfortable in her years spent there.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at Smith Funeral Chapel-Laurel.
