Kalispell police

said charges are pending against a man involved in a vehicle-pedestrian accident Tuesday morning near Mulligans.

On Fifth Avenue East, a witness reported a disturbance that occurred after a possible hit-and-run accident. One man reportedly had a bat. No one was there when officers arrived.

No one was found in a house on Third Avenue West, where a resident feared there was an intruder.

Someone was concerned about a dog without food or water where it was tied to a fence. Officials found no abuse because the dog's owner had only been visiting and the dog was gone when officers arrived.

On First Avenue East, the owner of a car saw someone trying to break into it.
