A warrant has been issued for a suspect in the Oct. 28 burglary at Ole's Country Store in Kalispell.

Kalispell police are looking for Canon Byers, 18, who reportedly worked at the convenience store.

The burglary was reported at 3 a.m.; Byers reportedly reset the alarm at the business just minutes later, according to Detective Sgt. Brian Fulford.

A safe taken from the business was later recovered by the Flathead County Sheriff's Office.

It was found in the Emery Creek area near Hungry Horse Reservoir. It still contained some checks from the business, Fulford said, but thousands of dollars were missing.

The warrant for Byers is on a burglary charge, Fulford said.

"We think he's in the Canyon," he said.
