Church hosts sale today in Kalispell

Central Christian Church, at the corner of Second Avenue East and Third Street in Kalispell, invites you to its sale of gently used items, including dolls to decorations, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. today.

Art sale today supports literacy

Literacy Volunteers of Flathead County host an art show and sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at the Bohemian Grange Hall, on U.S. 93 South behind Coffee Traders, in Whitefish.

Watercolors, jewelry, prints, photography, quilts, pottery and more will be available by local artists.

High Country Woodcarvers Club also will be selling their one-of-a-kind hand-carved and hand-painted ornaments.

Refreshments will be served.

All proceeds will benefit Literacy Volunteers. Call 257-7323.

Craft sale benefits students' trip

Best Western KwaTaqNuk Resort in Polson has a holiday craft bazaar from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. today. Plenty of handmade crafts and homemade goodies will be available.

Admission is free, and all proceeds go toward the Polson High School Spanish students' trip to Spain and Italy in June. Call 883-3827.

Suicide prevention conference today

The Flathead City-County Health Department, 1035 First Ave. W., in Kalispell is holding a live teleconference today by the National Survivors of Suicide Day program for those who have been affected by suicide.

Registration is from 9 to 10 a.m.; the teleconference will be from 10 to 11:30 a.m., with a discussion afterward, and sharing and refreshments until 1 p.m.

The event is being sponsored by American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Holiday event at civic center today

Travel to Trego for a Holiday Vendor Blender from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. today at Trego Civic Center. Take U.S. 93 North to milepost 163. Turn at Trego Road, then left at Molly Brown's and follow the signs. Refreshments and a raffle will be available.

Library's Flathead film series continues

Flathead County Library's "Beyond the Flathead" film series presents the Canadian comedy-romance "Long Life, Happiness and Prosperity" at 3 p.m. today at the Whitefish branch library. Admission is free, and everyone is welcome to attend.

Fund-raiser today for Avalanche Center

The Glacier Country Avalanche Center sponsors its annual Snowball fund-raiser at 6 p.m. today at Flanagan's Central Station on Central Avenue in Whitefish.
