Terry Lee Jones, 58
Terry Lee Jones died Nov. 22, 2005, at home in Kalispell from bladder cancer with his wife, Jayne, daughter, Tracy, and close family friend Peg Fulton by his side. Terry was born in St. Cloud, Minn., on May 4, 1947, the third child of five born to Marie and Les Jones. The family moved to California and Terry graduated from William S. Hart High School in 1965.
In 1966, he married his high-school sweetheart, Jayne Ann Loring Jones. In 1967, Terry was drafted into the U.S. Army where he served as a radio operator and K-9 handler in Korea.
1970 brought the birth of their only child a daughter, Tracy LeAnn Jones. In 1977, the family moved to Montana and built a home in Kila. Some of the many activities that Terry enjoyed with his family were hunting, fishing and camping, along with spending time boating on Flathead Lake.
Terry worked for Columbia Falls Aluminum Company for 27 years. When he was laid off from the plant, he went to Flathead Valley Community College for one year and got a job with Glacier Stone Supply, where he worked happily until late 2004 when he was diagnosed with bladder cancer. After two surgeries and chemo treatments, the cancer had spread to other vital organs. Terry leaves behind his wife of 39 years, his daughter and son-in-law, Tracy and David Stoick, and his only beloved grandson, Nicholas Stoick "Nicky G," all of Kalispell; brother, Norbert, and wife, Maggie Jones, of Nevada; sister, Penny, and husband, Bill Wells, of Indiana; brother, Dennis, and wife, Kay Jones, of Texas; and sister, Lori, and husband, Tim Baird, of Indiana.
At his request, he has been cremated, and his ashes will be scattered at a later date. "We love and miss you, TJ."
Johnson Mortuary is caring for Terry's family.
