investigated the theft of a 1996 Jeep Cherokee from the Osborne Landing parking lot in Bigfork. The vehicle was unlocked and the keys were left in the console.

A woman on Conrad Drive called to ask deputies if the drug team was following her as the neighbors reported someone outside her house Saturday night with a flashlight. She said if it wasn't the drug task force it was drug users or witchcraft people as she had problems with all of them.

Deputies were informed Sunday of a break-in at the Bigfork Expresso stand on Montana 35 in Bigfork.

A vehicle fire ended up in shots fired on Jewel Basin Road early Sunday.

Two women were with the vehicle which had an engine on fire. Bullet began going off inside the car as the fire reached a full case of ammunition.

A woman reported at the Town Pump across from the Blue Moon that someone had stolen her green, 97 Pontiac Grand Prix. The keys were in the vehicle.

Deputies investigated the report of an assault on Spotted Bear Road in Martin City at about 3 a.m. Sunday morning. A woman came to a neighbor's front door and said the man was assaulting both her and her daughter.

The suspect was gone when deputies arrived.

Another assault was reported on Sleepy Hollow at about 1:55 a.m. Sunday. The victim called deputies from outside his house to avoid waking up his mother.

When deputies arrived, both fighters were there but were too drunk to make statements.

A man in Martin City allegedly slashed his girlfriend's tires and was wandering around carrying a diaper bag. The girlfriend didn't wish to press charges as the man is apparently ill and not taking his required medication.

A loud party was reported in Martin City with juveniles possibly drinking. As it turned out, they were just having a snowball fight without alcohol involvement.

Deputies responded to a hazardous situation on Big Mountain Road late Saturday. The steep, winding road turned to a sheet of ice and cars were sliding all over the road.
