Kalispell police investigated a report from a father Sunday that his son had been assaulted. The boy was apparently threatened with a screwdriver. Officers counseled both parties to the incident.
A scream for help summoned police officers to the Super 8 Motel in Kalispell on Sunday morning. However, it turned out to be siblings roughhousing.
On Ninth Avenue West, a woman complained that her stepfather was yelling and throwing wood at her. Officers counseled the man, who then left town for Helena.
A woman on Sixth Avenue West was surprised when she learned that Missoula police officers had recovered her vehicle. She didn't even know that it was missing at about 7:30 a.m. Sunday.
Several drivers were caught unaware by a slippery section of road near the Salvation Army Thrift Store and Sawbucks.
A woman driver reported that she was involved in an accident there and then witnessed a more serious crash between two pickups at about 2 p.m. Sunday. Both pickups then left the scene. They were not found when officers investigated.
A woman on Third Avenue East sought the help of her neighbor after allegedly receiving a beating from her husband. She had a cut lip, scraped knuckles, puffy eyes, a gash in her head and a neck injury. Officers transported the woman from a hotel room to Kalispell Regional Medical Center and began looking for the assault suspect.
Officers arrested a 20-year-old male for driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and no insurance after he was stopped at Seventh Avenue West and Meridian.
An unruly juvenile hid at a neighbor's house on North Main after his mother called police for assistance. However, deputies returned when he returned home. Officers counseled both mother and son.
The copilot of a driver at Second Street West and South Meridian called police to report another driver threw a bottle at their car and was driving all over the road late Saturday.
Next, the driver and passenger stopped at a Conoco and replenished their beer supply. They switched places driving but apparently, the passenger was even more impaired then the first driver as they continued swerving all over the road. The reporting couple agreed to sign a complaint.
An accident at North Meridian and Three Mile Drive blocked the road at about 5:50 p.m. Sunday. Zachary Tellegen of Whitefish was arrested at the scene.
A woman reported that her purse was stolen from her unlocked car in the parking lot of the Sportsman & Ski Haus Saturday.
