Flathead County Sheriff

| October 5, 2005 1:00 AM

Flathead County Sheriff's Office was busy dealing with people whose behavior was odd, but not criminal.

A resident on Parliament Drive reported that a woman appeared at his door Monday night and said she wanted to get people out of her house. Plus, her vacuum doesn't work. A deputy went to her home and found she was fine, but has some things to think through.

A woman reported Tuesday that two teenage boys assaulted her Sunday when she took out her garbage.

A mother who works nights reported an ongoing problem at her house in Hungry Horse, where her baby-sitter is outmatched by minors who go there to drink. When a deputy arrived, the troublemakers were gone.

A burglary was reported in Coram, where the resident's mother-in-law was first suspected but then cleared of suspicion. On Airport Road, a woman reported that her former roommate cleared out all of her belongings while she was in jail and won't return them.

A black bear and her cubs checked out the view from a spruce tree near Columbia Falls.

A woman said a man threatened her on Montana 35 near Helena Flats Road.

A man was arrested for allegedly abusing his girlfriend on Collier Lane.

Two thefts from vehicles were reported at Blanchard Hollow. Two head of nomad cattle were reported on Foothills Road.

Two residents on Fourth Street West in Hungry Horse apparently suspended the good-neighbor policy; one reported friction there Tuesday.

A 911 call came from Jaquette Road Tuesday. When a dispatcher called back, a girl said she was home alone, but was fine and didn't call. A deputy went to check on her and found that her mother had taken a short walk and the girl became frightened and did indeed call 911.
