Beat the House' with great comedy

| October 7, 2005 1:00 AM

The Bigfork Community Players present "You Can't Beat The House," a comedy for the entire family October 14-16 and 21-23 at The Bigfork Center for the Performing Arts.

Breaking out is hard to do, as two minor-league burglars discover, when the house they break into turns out to be empty, for sale and haunted.

Their difficulty stems from the procession of oddball characters arriving at the front door - from potential house buyers to a spiritual medium, and beyond.

Wisecracks ricochet around the stage in this screwball comedy of mistaken identity, deliberate deception and true love.

The resulting pandemonium confirms the adage that "You Can't Beat the House".

Friday and Saturday performances are at 8 p.m., with Sunday matinees at 2 p.m.

Tickets $8 for adults, $6 for seniors & $5 for students and children.

Tickets are available at Bigfork Drug and Electric Avenue Books in Bigfork, Sliter's in Somers and Lakeside, J.D. Morrells and Kalispell Grand Hotel in Kalispell, and at the door.
