The Braves soccer team manhandled a weak Butte team, winning 9-0 at Kidsport on Saturday. Flathead consistently had good scoring opportunities and kept the ball in its possession.

Butte held the Braves to a respectable two goals in the first half, but Flathead scored seven more in the second period. Even Brave defenders were getting shots on goal.

Sweeper Zach Brenneman made runs from his own backfield into Butte's goal box. Brenneman finally put the ball in the back of the net at the 75-minute mark.

Flathead's Sean Riley scored three goals and added an assist to teammate Jeremy DeHerrara. Senior forward Kellen Murray scored early in the second half and then delivered three straight assists.

The Braves are now 7-1-1 in conference play and 9-1-1 overall. The team has scored 56 goals this year while allowing just seven. Next Saturday at Kidsport is the Braves last game of the regular season.
