The Flathead County Sheriff's Office took a report from a man who said his girlfriend took his keys so he had no way to get to work. Another problem was that she also tried to strangle him, he said. He was sitting on the couch with a shotgun in his hand, awaiting her return, he said. A deputy arrived and helped calm the situation.

Officers removed an unwelcome man from the Blue Moon and gave him a ride home.

On South Hilltop Road, two boys threw bottles and debris from a ditch onto the road when cars came past.

A garage on Willow Glen Drive has been burglarized three times in the last four weeks.

An adult son caused problems on Kienas Road.

On Maxine Drive, a determined bear damaged a shed, digging beneath it for a family of wild rabbits living there. An aggressive mother bear and three cubs were reported on Larch Hill Drive, where the sow broke in a screen window on a deck.

A purse was stolen from a car at Captain's Marine.

Kalispell and Evergreen fire departments responded twice to calls about dozers. The first was at Town Pump, where someone worried that a man passed out in his car was inebriated; he was just tired. The second call was to Super 1 where a driver was slumped over the wheel. Deputies encountered a couple who were compiling a shopping list in the car and fell asleep.

Eggs and something else were the garnishes placed on a car on Caroline Road. Windows were vandalized on U.S. 2 East.

A burglary was reported at Meissenburg Designs.

A caller reported a 30-acre fire in the Foy's Lake area that started small but then became too large to control. Smith Valley Fire Department found no fire.

A man was arrested for partner assault on Ridgewood Drive.

More disharmony on Harmony Road included a man who allegedly rushed at someone with a screwdriver.
