FHS' Riley sets scoring mark

Flathead's seniors stepped up their game on senior day, defeating Big Sky 7-2 Saturday at Kidsport. Team captain Sean Riley scored four goals to break Flathead's season scoring record with 22.

The Eagles were able to cause trouble for the Brave defenders and gave all-state forward Keane Hamilton scoring opportunities. Halfway through the first half, Hamilton scored on a break-away.

Kellen Murray and Jeremy DeHerrera each scored agains the Eagles. Murray finished the season with 14 goals and DeHerrera had 12.

The Braves finished 10-1-1 overall to claim the first seed in the Western division. The team will kick off state play Thursday, Oct. 27 in Helena. Flathead will take on the fourth-place team in the East.
