Whitefish police put out the Crimestoppers Tip of the Week, involving someone stealing more than 500 gallons of gasoline

from the Stacey Oil Co. on Spokane Avenue sometime between Tuesday evening and Wednesday morning. Police think the perpetrator used a one-ton truck with a mounted fuel tank. Crimestoppers will pay a reward of as much as $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible. The Crimestoppers hotline is 752-TIPS.

Officers arrested a man, 23, for possession drugs Thursday night after contacting him about having a dog at large on the 800 block of Columbia Avenue.

A man, 23, was arrested late Thursday on a Whitefish aggravated assault warrant at the 200 block of Skyles Place.

A man, 21, was arrested on a Lincoln County contempt warrant after a traffic stop on U.S. 93 south of Whitefish.

There was a report early Friday of people vandalizing Halloween decorations at a home on the 300 block of Kalispell Avenue.

A man, 23, was arrested for disorderly conduct, urinating in public and possession of dangerous drugs at First Street and Central Avenue early Friday morning.
