Dawn R. Thompson, 36

Dawn R. Thompson, 36, "went to her Lord" Saturday, Aug. 27, 2005, at her home in Ferndale.

Dawn was born Jan. 17, 1969, in Great Falls, to Robert and Janet Thompson. She was raised in Great Falls and the Flathead Valley, graduating from Flathead High School in 1987.

For the past several years, Dawn had been a mail carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Bigfork. She loved painting, crafts, gardening and cooking. Dawn touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She excelled in everything that she did, from her paintings to her gardening and cooking and her great '80s dance moves.

Dawn was preceded in death by her father, Robert Thompson.

Dawn is survived by her mother, Janet Thompson; children, Nathan, Austin, Emily, Shandri and Kassie Thompson; brothers and sisters, Merry Bell Thompson, Roberta Lind and her husband, Tim, Bert Thompson and wife, Jodi, Billy Thompson and wife, Christy, and Daniel Thompson and wife, Joanne; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, at Buffalo Hill Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Bartholomew officiating.
