Flathead County Sheriff's Office answered a 911 call Thursday afternoon from U.S. 2 in Hungry Horse. The caller hung up, but a dispatcher dialed back and left a message that officers were on their way and that the caller should call back immediately. He did call back to say he had hit a bicycle and thought there was a person on it, so he called 911. When he realized there was no one on the bike, he hung up.

A parent wanted help with a 9-year-old child who was out of control on West Cottonwood Drive.

A black bear that reportedly killed goats on Pleasant Valley Road on Tuesday night returned on Wednesday for seconds. A game warden was notified.

A deputy gave a man who caused a disturbance at the Amtrak station two tickets, but not the kind that can take him anywhere but to court.

A rifle and other items were stolen from a home at Lakehills Court.

Two people living in a car since Sunday caused concern on East Evergreen Drive. An pedaler asking people for food in Evergreen was persuaded to get on his bike and leave. A man came out of the woods near Lucky Logger Casino and tried to get into the building at 3 a.m. Unsuccessful, he decided to lay down in the parking lot instead. There was more inappropriate rest-stopping on U.S. 93 South, where a boy was found lying in a driveway Thursday morning.

An ongoing conflict at Hoffman Draw reignited Wednesday, when a resident called to complain about a neighbor's dogs, chickens and horses that roam onto the property. The resident wanted the neighbor to get a pony off the property, but has been advised by the county attorney to leave the neighbor alone. The neighbor's son showed up to claim the horse, but then the owners complained that it had been mistreated.

An aircraft that reportedly had motor trouble over Lake 5 turned out to be fine.
