George Edward Duffy, 76

George Edward Duffy, 76, passed away at his home in Worley, Idaho, on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2005.

George was born in Anaconda on Aug. 15, 1929, the only child of Henry T. and Anola Duffy. The family moved to Kalispell, and George graduated from Flathead County High School in 1948.

George attended Montana State College in Bozeman for one year. He then joined the Navy and became an aviation mechanic. After his discharge from the Navy, he went to engineering school for two years. He worked as an engineer and also in construction management. He retired in 1991.

George married his wife, Karen, in 1965, in Las Vegas. They have lived in Worley for the past 13 years.

George is survived by his wife, Karen, at the family home; two sons, Patrick and Mitch, both of Kalispell; three daughters, Kristi, Shelli and Marci, all of Worley; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services and burial will be today, Sept. 2, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
