BIGFORK - Dillon turned an interception into a quick score en route to a 34-0 season-opening football victory Friday night over Bigfork.

Dillon led 14-0 after the first period and 21-0 at the half.

"The kids played hard," said Bigfork coach Aaron Stiegeler.

"We made a lot of mental mistakes. We'll make adjustments next week and get better."

Dillon added two more scores in the third period to complete the scoring.

"We have some great leaders on this team," said Stiegeler.

"Cody King and Aaron Vogel. They played their hearts out tonight."

So did John White, according to Stiegeler.

"But they're not the only ones," he said.

"We had some sophomores and freshmen on the field who came in and provided a lift for us."

Stiegeler said Dillon brought their A game tonight, and it showed.

"They physically got after us," he said.

"We didn't match their intensity at times."
