Eileen A. Murphy, 54

Eileen A. Murphy died from cardiac arrest Sept. 7, 2005, while vacationing in Klamath Falls, Ore.

Eileen was born Sept. 24, 1950, in Anaconda, to Daniel Thomas Murphy and Bernadine Dillon Murphy.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the College of Great Falls in 1972 and earned her master of arts in secondary education from California State University at Northridge in 1977. After teaching for six years, Eileen joined Senior Services of Seattle/King County in 1979 where she was vice-president of Information Services at the time of her death.

Family members surviving Eileen are her life-partner of 18 years, Debbie Crumb, of Seattle; brothers, Jim Murphy and wife, Adele, and their three sons, Kelly, Kevin and Patrick, all of Kalispell, and Dan Murphy of Anaconda; sister, Patty Kohoutek of Great Falls, and their families; Debbie's mother, Rose Crumb, of Port Angeles, Wash.; Debbie's nine siblings and their families.

Both of Eileen's parents preceded her in death.

A memorial service and party will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at the Alki Congregational United Church of Christ (6115 S.W. Hinds in Seattle).

Remembrances may be sent to the American Red Cross for the victims of Hurricane Katrina; Senior Services of Seattle/King County or Findlay Street Christian Church in Seattle.
