Stanley R. Clothier died at the Brendan House Monday, Sept. 19, 2005. Stan was loved by his family and friends.

He was born Nov. 28, 1945, in Cody, Wyo., and raised in the Flathead Valley.

Stan was a great saxophone player and loved playing in various groups. He was happiest when cooking for a crowd. An avid reader, Stan enjoyed philosophizing and had no trouble sharing his opinions.

For 20 years Stan worked with his parents managing Spruce Park, and was a longtime member of the Evergreen Water and Sewer board.

Stan is survived by his parents, Darrell and Delores Clothier, of Kalispell; his sister and brother-in-law, Geri and Robert Malberg; his nieces, Amity, Jessica, Cadie, her husband, Ethan; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

There will be no visitation. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, at C. E. Conrad Memorial Cemetery, with Pastor Robert Ross officiating.

The family suggests that memorials be given to a charity of the donor's choice.

Johnson Mortuary and Crematory is caring for Stan's family.
