Charles D. Van De Kop, 75

Charles D. Van De Kop, 75, of Kalispell, died of natural causes March 30, 2006, at Kalispell Regional Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 23, 1931, in Conrad, and raised in Valier. He was the youngest of 14 children. He was a member of the U.S. Army.

He married Carole Dagel on May 30, 1954. They were married for 51 years.

His greatest enjoyment came from playing his guitar, camping, fishing and his grandchildren.He is survived by his wife, Carole, of Kalispell; sons, Rick and Judy Van De Kop of Nampa, Idaho, and Scott Van De Kop of Kalispell; daughters, Lynda and Tom Upsom of Boise, Idaho, Michele and Chris Burton of Hamilton, and Margie and Dan Semsak of Kalispell; a brother, Albert of Salem, Ore.; grandchildren, Dan and Brian McNutt, Brandi and Matthew Peterson, Nick Van De Kop, Derek and Cienna Semsak; and four great-grandchildren, Felix, Fiona, Elwood and Kylie.

Memorial services will be held at a later date.
