Art Denny Rundhaug passed away Tuesday, March 28, 2006, at Desert Springs Hospital in Las Vegas after suffering a long bout with COPD.

He was raised in Montana and, after serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam, he relocated to Las Vegas in 1968, his favorite place on Earth. He worked for Circus Circus, the Dunes, and many years at the Western Hotel.

As Art Rundy, he also had a short stint as a stand-up comic. He said the stage fright did him in, and others said it was the jokes that did him in; come to find out it was the smoking that did him in.

He is survived by his brothers, Wally in Las Vegas, David in Tacoma, Wash., and Gordon Evenson of Winona, Minn.; and sisters, Lorna Vollmer of Kalispell, and Lora Evenson of Missoula. He will be buried in Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nev.

No services are planned.
