Whitefish committee vacancies plentiful

It's last call for Whitefish-area residents interested in applying for one of 16 openings on city committees. The deadline to submit a letter of interest is Friday.

The Resort Tax Monitoring Committee has four three-year positions available. Applicants must be Whitefish city residents or owners, operators or representatives of bar/restaurants, lodging businesses or retail businesses.

The Park Board has three two-year terms open for people who have lived within city limits for two years and within the state for three years.

Other openings are available on the Police Commission, Architectural Review Committee, Pedestrian and Bicycle Path Advisory Committee and advisory groups for trees and the ice rink. The Board of Appeals also has an opening.
