Yvonne Marie Acheson, 57, of Kalispell died April 3, 2006, after a determined and courageous battle with multiple illnesses.

She was born March 23, 1949, in Bertha, Minn., to Harris and Verna Chase, the third child in a family of six. She graduated from high school at Deer Creek, Minn. After high school she moved to Fairbanks, Alaska, for a few years to go to college, where she was wed to James Acheson.

In 1987 Yvonne returned to Kalispell to live after many adventures and became employed at the Heritage Nursing Home. She loved her work and enjoyed the people that she worked with.

Some of the things she enjoyed were her many crafts, miniature horses, little dog Sasha, and any kind of animal that might come her way. Shopping, cooking and the Northwest Montana Fair were some of the things that delighted her. But most of all she loved her children, grandchildren, family, friends and church.

She was preceded in death by her father, Harris Chase, and infant sister, Joanie Jean.

She is survived by her mother, Verna Chase, in Kalispell, three children, Drew Acheson and wife, Julie, of Stevensville, Tracy Acheson of Lolo, and Jason Acheson of Columbia Falls; grandchildren, Brandi Sweet, Jocelyn, Natasha and Josette Acheson; great-grandson, Gabriel Sweet; sisters, Jeanne Everhart and husband, Doug, of Erhard, Minn., and Sylvia Stenzel and husband, Roger, of Kalispell; brothers, Michael Chase and wife, Neila, of Kila, and Jeff Chase and wife, Lynn, of Columbia Falls.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, April 7, at the Church of Christ. Arrangements are by the Columbia Mortuary in Columbia Falls.

Special heart-felt thanks to the casket bearers, Roger Stenzel, Joe Stenzel, Gene Peterson, Brandon Peterson, Doug Dougherty and Bob Becker; honorary casket bearer, Gabriel Sweet.

The family also wishes to thank Jimmy Goins, preacher, and the Columbia Falls Church of Christ congregation.

Thank you to Wanda Nichols for the music.
