With April 15 falling on a Saturday, Tax Day is Monday, April 17.

Kalispell's main post office, 350 N. Meridian Road, will offer late box collection until midnight. The office closes at 5:30 p.m.

The U.S. Postal Service offers these tax tips:

-Apply proper postage and stamps, especially with extra forms/schedules. The first ounce costs 39 cents and each additional ounce costs 24 cents. One ounce is about four pages.

-If you use a non-IRS labeled envelope, make sure you print the proper IRS address.

-Print your return address in the upper left-hand corner of your tax mail envelope.

-If you want certification that your tax mail form is received by the IRS, you should mail it using Certified Mail Service with Return Receipt available at the post office.

-The post office encourages you to mail before Tax Day, but if you wait until April 17 be sure you drop your return off at a collection box or postal location that offers late pick-up.

If you have tax questions, you can contact the IRS at 1-800-829-1040 or online at http://www.irs.gov/help/.
