Whitefish police

took a report of a purse stolen at Flanagan's.

A beaver obstructed traffic Tuesday morning in front of the Wave fitness center. It made its way to The Pin and Cue, where it caused a traffic dam. The animal warden and an officer tried to move the animal off U.S. 93, stopping cars as the animal growled and bared its teeth. Finally, the beaver moved east towards the river.
