took a call from a man who was tempted to shoot the white Siberian husky that jumped his fence and mated with his $1,000 bird dog. An officer discouraged that.

Officers also counseled the passenger in a vehicle on U.S. 93 about the wisdom of dangling his feet out of a moving vehicle. A parent asked for someone in uniform to give a few sobering words to two boys about stealing.

On U.S. 93, a woman reportedly hurled vulgarities and a more solid object at another vehicle. Officers have her license-plate number.

A riding lawnmower escaped on Kelly Road. Items were stolen from a vehicle on First Avenue West.

After a traffic stop by Highway Patrol, a man was charged with drug possession. So were people who caused a disturbance at a bar.

A nontraditional Easter custom apparently involves leaving marijuana in someone's driveway. That happened on Two Mile Drive.
