took a report from a woman who bought a Stephen-Kingish car six years ago in Kalispell. It supposedly came from a vehicle auction in Spokane with a title from the East Coast. Whenever she washes the car, the woman said, blood comes up from the back seat. A sheriff's detective will investigate.

Among the strange calls to fire departments was a report of a vehicle fire on Spring Creek Road, fueled by rounds of exploding .22-caliber ammunition inside it; the Somers Fire Department and the Highway Patrol responded. Somers firefighters also were notified about "some type of fire" east of Swartzenberger Wrecking. The Columbia Falls Fire Department was called about a barrel drum smoking in the back of a green Dodge truck. It was near Ashley Creek Road that a truck carried a burning hay bale.

In Martin City, some people complained about a woman who came into their house and made threats. They can't remember her name, but they think it is the ex-girlfriend of their mother's brother.

Blinking electrical power was reported on Hodgson Road near Whitefish Stage Road, where Flathead Electric Cooperative workers found that a voltage regulator had been shot.

A puppy was shot on Rhodes Draw.

A resident reported being assaulted and then receiving a phone threat. A deputy counseled people on Seki Lane, where a woman reportedly pushed around a man.

For 12 years, a neighbor's barking dogs have been an annoyance, according to the caller who fears retribution from the dogs' owner.

On Pheasant Drive, a vehicle owner discovered youths rummaging through it. Nothing was missing.

A door was pried open, a computer was missing, and files were gone through at a home on Rose Crossing.

Since fall, four boxcars with the disturbing warning of "explosives" have been parked within yards of a business. The owner called Wednesday and a deputy found the boxcars probably contain fireworks.
