Easter events in the Flathead
A wide selection of sacred and secular events are planned for Easter weekend across the valley:
Today
-Mel Gibson's "The Passion of the Christ" will be shown at the Canyon Community Church in Coram at 7 p.m. Good Friday.
Admission is free.
An animated film for children ages 12 and under also will be shown.
Saturday
-Dandy Dudes and Dolls 4-H Club invite children up to age 10 to their annual community Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cayuse Prairie School.
Different age groups will hunt in their own designated areas. Remember to bring your baskets. Everyone is welcome. Call Tina at 752-3443 or 261-3443.
-The Kalispell Center Mall hosts an "Eggstravaganza" from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday with carnival activities and entertainment.
An Easter egg hunt gets under way at 1 p.m. in Depot Park, followed by more children's activities and games.
The DreamBuilders Playhouse raffle drawing will be held at 3 p.m. at Depot Park. Call 756-1414 for raffle ticket information.
The annual raffle is a fundraiser for the Nurturing Center.
-Harvest Baptist Church is sponsoring an Easter egg hunt at 11 a.m. Saturday at Stillwater Christian School.
The church will hold an Easter service at 10:30 a.m. at the school.

-Whitefish Mountain Mall's annual Easter egg hunt gets under way at 3 p.m. Saturday for children 8 and under. Prizes will be awarded. Children can get their photos taken with the Easter Bunny from noon to 4 p.m.
-Mountain View Mennonite Church in Creston is holding its outdoor Easter drama at 8 p.m. Saturday.
The 35-minute pageant traces the events of Easter including Jesus' arrest, trial, crucifixion and resurrection.
After the pageant, refreshments will be served in the fellowship hall.

Sunday
-The Church at Creston invites children to a community Easter egg hunt at 9:30 a.m. Sunday between the 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. services. Prizes will be awarded. The church is located in the Grange building across from Creston School.
-Kalispell Elks Lodge No. 625 hosts its annual Easter egg hunt beginning at 1 p.m. Sunday at Lions Park on the south edge of Kalispell. Members and nonmembers alike are invited to participate.
-The Columbia Falls Lions Club invites children 12 and under to an Easter egg hunt starting at 1 p.m. Sunday at Marantette Park. The hunts will be divided by age groups.
