POLSON - An awesome offensive display coupled with a strong mound performance by Dylen Zetterberg carried Polson to a 12-2 victory Thursday afternoon over Libby.

Zetterberg improved to 4-0 in her five inning appearance. She had six strike outs and limited Libby to three hits.

"She settled down and took care of business," said Polson coach Larry Smith of her opening-game walk.

"All most all of her pitches were (working), especially being able to hit the corners. Her curve ball was working very well for her."

Vandeberg tripled for her team's lone extra base hit.

Polson hosts Ronan on Thursday. Libby's next action is April 21 at Whitefish.
