Victor 'Dale' Warren, 74

Victor "Dale" Warren, 74, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2006, at his home in Bigfork.

He was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Zortman to Bill and Isabell (Laverdure) Warren.

The family moved to Ronan, where Dale received his early education. He made his mark in the logging industry, operating heavy equipment, a skill he would later transfer to Alaska's North Slope, moving oil rigs for 20 years.

Dale lived life on his own terms. He was a very loving person to his family and his many friends. He enjoyed reciting poetry, bowling, hunting, fishing, Western music, pets and telling jokes.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; and a sister, Vera Wold.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Warren, of Bigfork; two daughters, Peppy Wood and Lori Lindsay and husband, Gary, all of Bigfork; a son, John Warren, and wife, Laurie, of Forest Grove, Ore.; two sisters, Loyce Huber of Bigfork, and Betty Thomson and husband, Stan, of Anchorage, Alaska; seven grandchildren, Josh, Patrick and Madison Wood, Ashley and Haley Lindsay, and Adam and Dustin Warren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services for Dale Warren will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 22, at the Christian Center/Assembly of God.
